Today is World Pharmacists Day

Today is World Pharmacists Day, and the theme is “Safe and effective medicines for all.” According to the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), “The theme aims to highlight the key role that pharmacists play in protecting patient safety through improved medicine use and reduced medication errors.”

If you would like to be part a part of the festivities, you can download the World Pharmacists Day app, which the FIP has “developed especially for pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, and pharmacy educators and students” and which allows you to record a personal World Pharmacists Day 2019 message.” They are encouraging those in the pharmacy profession to use the app to tell people about how they work for “Safe and effective medicines for all.”
