Katie McQueen to speak at the Promotional Review Summit in Philadelphia September 25-26
If you will be attending Momentum Event’s Promotional Review Summit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, later this month, plan to attend the Interactive Potluck to meet Med Communications’ Katie McQueen and hear her answer questions about medical, legal, and regulatory affairs promotional review (MLR-PRC).
Katie is a Principal Scientific Communications Manager at Med Communications, Inc. with 13 years of experience as a pharmacist. She graduated summa cum laude from Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to obtaining her PharmD degree, Katie obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology-Psychology from Birmingham-Southern College, where she minored in Chemistry. Katie’s pharmacy career started with a PGY-1 residency at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where after completion she worked for 6 years as a clinical pharmacist covering nearly all pediatric specialties.
As a clinical pharmacist, Katie took an interest in research and publications, which is how she transitioned into a medical writing/pharmaceutical industry role at Med Communications. During her time at Med Communications, Katie has taken pride in her ability to work on any type of project and with many different teams. She has become proficient in authoring standard response letters, custom response letters, dossiers, and many other types of deliverables. She has also become a mentor to her peers and leads the promotional review training course. In the last two years, Katie has transitioned into a manager role, and she enjoys overseeing client contracts and her direct reports while continuing to do client work.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 sons, cooking, hiking, and playing tennis or pickleball.
Katie is looking forward to meeting attendees at the Summit and helping to clarify MLR-PRC issues. See you there!
