October is American Pharmacists Month

Happy Pharmacists Month! According to the American Pharmacists Association (APhM; https://www.pharmacist.com/), the theme this year is Easy to Reach, Ready to Help. We will be at AMCP Nexus 2019 (Oct 29-Nov 1, 2019)

The AMCP Nexus 2019 begins in one month, and our Vice President of Medical Communications, Beth Miller, PharmD, and Director of Medical Communications, Ellen Whipple, BPharm, PharmD, will be attending. The conference takes places in National Harbor, MD, beginning on Tuesday, October 29, with pre-conference programs, and continuing until mid-day on Friday, November 1, 2019.

Ellen is part of the AMCP Format Executive Committee, which has just updated the AMCP Format for Formulary Submissions to Version 4.1. She will be in a panel on Thursday morning

Today is World Pharmacists Day

Today is World Pharmacists Day, and the theme is “Safe and effective medicines for all.” According to the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), “The theme aims to highlight the key role that pharmacists play in protecting patient safety through improved medicine use and reduced medication errors.”
